The certificate of proficiency entitles you to pilot both sailing and motor vessels of up to 15 meters under the Danish flag throughout the world. If you want to sail ships that are longer than 15 meters, you must take an exam in Yacht skipper of the 3rd degree.
To apply for a certificate of competency for a yacht skipper of the 1st degree, 3rd degree and a certificate of proficiency, you must have completed a vision and hearing test. Book an appointment with the maritime doctor
